Depending on the RedNet device you have there are different options for the Word Clock Output Setting in RedNet Control, these selections determine the sample rate transmitted from the Word Clock Output. Newer RedNet devices with a Word Clock Output will typically feature the following options:
Network
The Work Clock output will transmit the same sample rate as your Dante Network
(either 44.1, 48, 88.2, 96, 176.4, or 192khz)
Network (Base Rate)
The Word Clock output will transmit the base rate of the Dante Network which will either be 44.1kHz or 48kHz whichever is the lowest multiple of the Networks sample rate.
Base Rate of 88.2kHz and 176.4kHz = 44.1kHz
Base Rate of 96kHz and 192kHz = 48kHz
E.g. If your Dante Network is set to 96kHz and Network (Base Rate) is selected on your RedNet Device the Word Clock Output will transmit a sample rate of 48kHz.
This option is mostly useful for Broadcasting where your equipment can only run at base rates (44.1 or 48kHz) but needs to be clocked to all other devices in your audio setup.
