This article applies to: ISA One, ISA 428 MkII
The ISA ADN8 and ISA ADN2 are backwards compatible with some ISA hardware units. For a full list please see: What ISA Products can I use the ISA ADN2/8 cards with?
ISA ADN card behaviour in older ISA units
However, when an ISA ADN Card is installed in an ISA unit with older firmware* when the settings of the ISA ADN card are not matched to the settings on the front panel of your ISA unit, the ‘Lock’ LED will flash to indicate this mismatch.
This will not impact the signal in any way. It will also not affect the settings of the ISA ADN Card, it will still correctly follow the settings made from the Network.
To stop the flashing, you can manually change the settings on the front panel of your ISA to match the settings of your ISA ADN Card in RedNet Control.
*ISA chassis firmware cannot be updated, units with older firmware include:
- Older ISA One units
- ISA 428 MkII
On the ISA 828 MkII and newer ISA One units, we have implemented bi-directional control. Changing settings of the card (via RedNet Control) will update the ISA front panel. Similarly, changing the settings of the ISA front panel will update the settings of the ISA ADN Card, visible in RedNet Control.
