AES67 is an interoperability standard for Audio over IP systems (AoIP). This allows for audio transport between different AoIP standards. Focusrite Pro's Audio over IP protocol being Audinate's Dante protocol.
To enable, or disable, AES67 on Focusrite Pro equipment, this is done within Dante Controller*. In Dante Controller:
- Double-click on the device you wish to enable AES67 to enter Device View.
- Navigate to the 'AES67 Config' Tab.
- Change the 'New' field to Enabled (or the opposite to disable AES67).
If any audio is playing, this will pause momentarily while the device enables AES67 mode.
*Dante Controller is by default installed as part of the RedNet Control install. It can also be found on the Audinate website.
